A political committee that wants to contribute to a candidate running for the Legislature or one of the state executive positions (governor, attorney general, state auditor, etc.) must be able to show that it has received contributions of $25 or more from at least 10 different Washington state registered voters within the last 180 days.

You'll need to look back in your records over the last 180 days to make sure you meet those requirements. The contributions must originate from individuals, not from a business or other entity.

The rule is outlined in state law. (See subsection 12.)
