Join Public Disclosure Commission staff for lunch, starting in June, in a series of short sessions designed to help campaigns, particularly first-timers and volunteer treasurers, understand their disclosure requirements during the 2025 election cycle.
The first 45-minute “lunch and learn” session, scheduled for 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, offers a snapshot of the PDC’s Online Reporting of Campaign Activity (ORCA) filing system, focusing on filing contribution reports, or C-3s. Contribution reports are due weekly starting the week first week of June for all campaigns participating in the 2025 general election.
The following week, PDC staff will follow up with a similar presentation focused on expenditure reports, or C-4s.
The presentation portion of these lunchtime learning sessions will take 10-20 minutes, with the rest open for questions and discussion with knowledgeable PDC staff.
These lunchtime sessions are intended to complement the PDC’s more comprehensive trainings on disclosure law by giving candidates and campaign officials a chance to brush up on specific reporting or disclosure activities and to get answers to their questions in a more informal setting.
Future PDC lunch and learns:
• Tuesday, June 10: Filing an expenditure report, or C-4
• Tuesday, July 8: Sponsor identification rules and disclosing political advertising
• Tuesday, Aug. 26: Prohibitions on use of public facilities in political campaigns
• Tuesday, Sept. 9: A guide to political disclosure data published by the PDC
• Tuesday, Oct. 7: Last-minute contributions and mandatory pre- and post-election reports
• Tuesday, Nov. 18: Wrapping up your campaign
