JERNIGAN JEFF M: Alleged violation of RCW 42.17A.700 for failure to timely file the Personal Financial Affairs Statement for Calendar Year 2019 (Group Enforcement 2020)
At a February 25, 2021 enforcement hearing, the Commission found that Jeff Jernigan (the “Respondent”) violated RCW 42.17A.700 for failure to file F-1 reports (Personal Financial Affairs Statements) as an elected official who held office in 2019 and 2020. The F-1 reports, disclosing financial information for 2018 & 2019, were due to be filed no later than April 15, 2019 and April 15, 2020 respectively.
At the hearing, the Commission ordered a $3,000 civil penalty, $3,000 of which is suspended based on the following conditions: The Respondent must 1) file the missing F-1 reports within 30 days of the date of the Order; 2) pay $4,000 in civil penalties for prior violations within 120 days; and 3) not commit any further violations of Chapter 42.17A RCW or Title 390 WAC within four years of the date of the Order, which was issued on March 11, 2021.
The PDC received the Respondent's F-1 reports covering 2019 and 2020 financial activity on February 19, 2021 and his F-1 reports covering calendar years 2015-2018 on March 2, 2021.
