Description
Allegation One: Alleged violation of RCW 42.17A.235, & .240 for failure to timely & accurately report expenditures in 2024 and 2025 (e.g. Domain name, other website expenses, and incomplete expenditure & in-kind descriptions)
Allegation Two: Alleged violation of RCW 42.17A.320 for failure to display complete sponsor ID on website
The complaint in this case alleged that Washington Patriot State PAC violated RCW 42.17A.235, .240 and
.320 by failing to timely and accurately report contributions and expenditures
in election years 2025 and 2025, specifically website-related expenditures and
expenditure descriptions, and displaying complete sponsor ID on their website.
Based on the attached findings and pursuant to WAC
390-37-060(1)(d), the Respondent received a formal written warning concerning their failure to timely and
accurately disclose an in-kind contribution for their website domain in 2024 and
include complete sponsor ID on their website. PDC staff expect the committee to timely and
accuratelyfile all required reports
and include complete sponsor ID on political advertising in the future. The
Commission will consider this formal written warning in deciding on further
Commission action if there are future violations of PDC laws or rules.
PDC
staff also reminded the committee about the importance of including complete description
details for expenditures and in-kind contributions on C-4 reports, including
vendor name and address, in accordance with the PDC laws, rules or
guidance.
