Description

The complaint alleged Matthew Adams violated RCW 42.17A.205 and .700 by failing to timely register as a candidate (C-1) and file a Personal Financial Affairs Statement (F-1). PDC staff reviewed the allegations, evidence you provided, applicable statutes and rules and the response provided by Matthew Adams to determine whether the record supports a finding of one or more violations.

In response to the evidence provided in the complaint, Adams stated “I am a concerned citizen who loves his city. The hosts of The Outlaw Radio Network, posted that information and it is not correct. I have no interest in running for public office, as I stated on the show that night.”

There is no evidence Adams raised or spent any funds for a campaign or authorized any other person to raise or spend money towards a campaign.

Staff has determined, in this instance, the alleged violations ofRCW 42.17A.205 and .700 for failing to timely register as a candidate (C-1) and file a Personal Financial Affairs Statement (F-1)do not amount to a violation warranting further investigation.

Based on this information, the PDC finds that no further action is warranted and has dismissed this matter in accordance with RCW 42.17A.755(1).
