Description

This case alleged that Bethel Citizen’s Committee for School Support, a political committee, violated RCW 42.17A.235 and RCW 42.17A.240 by failing timely and accurately file C-3 reports and C-4 reports disclosing contributions and expenditures undertaken by the committee and provide required expenditure details on C-4 reports for election year 2022 that were due to be filed from 2019 to 2022.

At a Brief Enforcement Hearing (Brief Adjudicative Proceeding) held on 9/12/24, the Commission's Presiding Officer found the Respondent violated RCW 42.17A.235 and RCW 42.17A.240 by failing to timely and accurately report contributions and expenditures for years 2019-2022 and assessed a penalty of $600, of which $350 is suspended if the conditions of the Order, including the submission of missing and amended reports, are met (see attached).
