Description
The Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) has completed its review of the complaint filed by Opal Segers on June 8, 2018. The complaint alleged that Robert Moelder may have violated RCW 42.17A.320 for failure to identify party affiliation in campaign signs.
Based on these initial findings, staff has determined that in this instance, the failure to include party affiliation on campaign signs does not amount to a finding of a material violation warranting further investigation.
PDC staff is reminding Robert Moelder about the importance of including political party affiliation when a party preference has been declared on a Candidate Registration (C-1 report) or Declaration of Candidacy. The PDC has closed the matter, and will not be conducting a more formal investigation into your complaint or pursuing further enforcement action in this case.
