Many expenditures whether made directly by the campaign or by a staffer who is then reimbursed require a detailed description of what was purchased.
Hire a campaign consultant? The public needs to know if they spent some of the money on subvendors.
Buy advertising? Report the date the ad is first broadcast or published (if known) and each media outlet where it will appear.
Purchasing signs, t-shirts and fliers? Tell us the quantity of each.
Reimbursements to a candidate or candidate's officers for items that they bought for the campaign should include where the items were purchased (name and address), what they bought, and the quantity of items.
